The Wooden Runabout Co. occasionally offers boats for sale on behalf of our customers or to reduce our inventory of classic boats. We do our best to represent these boats accurately through photos and descriptions, however, we strongly recommend that all boats be inspected first-hand, either by the purchaser or by a reputable marine-surveyor with experience in the field of classic and antique wooden boats.

1955 Century Coronado $7500
The boat that separated Century from the pack and ushered in a modern era of design and styling. Designed by Richard Arbib, the Coronado was brand new for 1955. Hull number M5553 was only the fourth Coronado ever produced and is believed to be the oldest still in existence. This boat is a great candidate for restoration. It is extremely original and has not been the meddled with in the past. As evidenced by the hull numbers still stamped in the transom, the boat has never been sanded to bare wood. The upholstery is original and all hardware is intact including the signature hard top. Powered by a Chrysler Hemi engine, the Coronado was designed for grace and speed. Price is firm, but can be negotiated if The Wooden Runabout Co. is given the opportunity to restore this magnificent boat. For inspiration, check out the photos of the 1959 Century Coronado that we recently restored and which won first in class at the Hessel boat show this past August.
